EDIT: Due to health concerns, events in Maryland and Washington, D.C., have been suspended. We look forward to returning to the national march in 2023! You can still support the Royal Home and Falcon Children’s Home ministries. See below for details.
This week, the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) continues its commitment to the sanctity of human life. Beginning with Sanctity of Human Life Sunday and culminating in participation in the National March for Life, these events underscore the IPHC’s strong stand for human life, particularly the sanctity of unborn human life.
While taking part in these annual events is important, they put the spotlight on the IPHC institutions that work out the IPHC’s commitment to life every day. Royal Home Ministries, celebrating its 30th year of ministry, will spearhead several events in support of March for Life.
On Wednesday, January 19, a local march will begin at 2pm at Agape Pregnancy Resource Center in Fayetteville. Mission M25 will begin a concurrent motorcycle ride at 2:30pm. At 3:00pm, participants will gather at the Octagon Tabernacle in Falcon, NC. As the site of the 1911 merger between the Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Fire-Baptized Holiness Church that created the IPHC, the tabernacle occupies a significant place in the denomination’s history. IPHC Presiding Bishop Doug Beacham will lead in a special prayer and presentation from the denomination.
The Falcon march will continue from the tabernacle to Golden Years Nursing Home, the Life Campus, and Falcon Christian Academy, before concluding with a celebration service at the North Carolina Conference’s Synan Chapel.
On Thursday, January 20, many of the participants will reconvene 300 miles north, near Washington, D.C. Maranatha Fellowship (IPHC) and its pastor, Ben Spearman, will host a special evening service at 7pm. Bishop Doug Beacham will be the guest speaker.
On Friday, January 21, marchers will meet at the Rotunda (1201 Washington Ave SW) before joining the national March for Life. Marchers will proceed up Constitution Avenue to the steps of the US Supreme Court, the primary battleground for right to life questions.
If you cannot participate in either the Falcon or DC marches, you can still take action. Support Royal Home Ministries, which celebrates with physical or monetary donations. To learn more about this and other Falcon Children’s Home ministries, visit https://www.falconchildrenshome.org/.
