The 30th General Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church was held in Mobile, Alabama, July 15-17, 2026. Delegates from across the United States joined international leaders representing the IPHC’s global family to worship together, conduct the business of the church, and celebrate what God continues to do through the denomination. 

The General Conference was preceded by the Day of Discipleship, Women’s Ministries, Men’s Ministries, and other ministry gatherings that brought together leaders and members from across the denomination for training, worship, and fellowship.

The conference featured worship led by Rev. Trés Ward, accompanied by a conference choir composed of IPHC members. The opening celebration included Holy Communion, the Apostles’ Creed, and the symbolic placing of soil representing new churches and the continued growth of the IPHC around the world. Throughout the week, General Conference offered a combination of worship, preaching, fellowship, and denominational business. One of the most significant actions of the 30th General Conference came on Wednesday afternoon when delegates approved a historic restructuring of the denomination’s general-level leadership. The new structure establishes two elected Executive Officer positions, the General Superintendent and the Assistant General Superintendent, both elected by the General Conference. Under the new structure, leadership of World Missions and the newly created Church Ministries division will be elected by the Council of Bishops from nominees presented by the General Superintendent. Church Ministries combines the work previously carried out by Evangelism USA Ministries and Discipleship Ministries into one unified division focused on evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and strengthening local churches throughout the United States.

Following the adoption of the new organizational structure, delegates elected the denomination’s first Executive Officers under the revised governance model:

        • Dr. Terry Tramel was elected Assistant General Superintendent.

Throughout the conference, delegates continued the comprehensive review of the proposed Bylaws revision, considering amendments to every article of the Manual. The adopted revisions reflected the newly approved leadership structure while also strengthening policies related to church governance, financial accountability, ministry oversight, conference administration, leadership development, and the ongoing mission of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. On Friday evening, the newly elected General Superintendent, Bishop Talmadge Gardner, addressed the IPHC family as the denomination looked toward its next season of ministry and mission.

Among the spiritual highlights of the conference were the opening Communion service, the placing of soil representing the continued expansion of the IPHC around the world, the Memoirs and Memorial services honoring faithful ministers and leaders who had gone home to be with the Lord, and the moments of prayer throughout the conference that emphasized healing, unity, and the future mission of the church. The conference also celebrated God’s work in more than 125 nations where the IPHC now has an established ministry presence.

Other significant actions of the General Conference reflected the denomination’s focus on its future ministry and mission. Delegates approved a comprehensive study of the climate for women in ministry and leadership within the IPHC, examining their participation at the local, conference, and general levels, identifying barriers to leadership development, and recommending intentional pathways for women to serve throughout the church. Earlier actions strengthened the denomination’s emphasis on the local church, including affirming local congregations as God’s chosen presentation of the body of Christ in their communities and adopting significant financial and governance revisions designed to support ministry at every level of the IPHC.
