CHARLOTTE, N.C. – August 18, 2026
The International Pentecostal Holiness Church Council of Bishops convened in a special called session on Tuesday, August 18, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to elect officers and other leaders who will serve the General Church during the 2026-2030 quadrennium.
In a historic action following decisions made at the 30th IPHC General Conference, the Council of Bishops elected Bishop Stan Reynolds as Executive Director of World Missions Ministries and Corporate Secretary and Bishop Ryan Linkous as Executive Director of Church Ministries and Corporate Treasurer.
Their election completes the four officer positions of the IPHC for the 2026-2030 quadrennium, alongside General Superintendent Presiding Bishop J. Talmadge Gardner and the Assistant General Superintendent, Bishop, Terry Tramel.
Council of Bishops Nominations Committee
During the called session, the Council elected individuals to serve on the Council of Bishops Nominations Committee, which includes the General Superintendent, the Vice Chair of the IPHC, five members of the Council of Bishops, one pastor and one lay professional.
Serving on the committee are General Superintendent Presiding Bishop J. Talmadge Gardner and IPHC Vice Chair Bishop Terry Tramel.
The five Council of Bishops members elected to the Nominations Committee are Bishop Ray Boggs of Spirit Life Ministries, Bishop Randell Drake of New Horizons Ministries, Bishop Abel Palomo of the Mid-Atlantic Conference, Bishop Morris Smith of the South Carolina Conference and Bishop Ray Willis of the Sonshine Network.
Pastor Mark Hammond of the Pacific Western Network was elected to serve as the pastor representative, and Dr. Adrian Hinkle of the Heartland Conference was elected to serve as the lay professional representative.
Council of Bishops
The Council also selected three pastors and three lay professionals to serve on the Council of Bishops.
The pastors selected were Pastor Justin Blankenship of the Heartland Conference, Pastor Anthony Craver of the Cornerstone Conference and Pastor Bill Rose of the North Carolina Conference.
The lay professionals selected were Dr. Adrian Hinkle of the Heartland Conference, Mr. Garland Slate of the North Carolina Conference and Mr. Tim Haynes of Spirit Life Ministries.
Council of Bishops Executive Committee
The Council of Bishops also completed the composition of the Executive Committee for the new quadrennium.
The Executive Committee includes the four officers of the IPHC: the General Superintendent, who serves as chairman; the Assistant General Superintendent, who serves as vice-chairman; the Executive Director of World Missions Ministries, who serves as Corporate Secretary; and the Executive Director of Church Ministries, who serves as Corporate Treasurer.
In addition to the four officers, three Conference Superintendents were selected to serve on the Executive Committee: Bishop Jason Beiler of the Alpha Ministries, Bishop Oris Hubbard of the North Carolina Conference and Bishop Jamie Grisham of the Tennessee Valley Conference.
Pastor Anthony Craver of the Cornerstone Conference was selected to serve as the pastor representative, while Dr. Adrian Hinkle of the Heartland Conference was selected to serve as the lay professional representative.
Council of Bishops Advancement Committee
The Council also selected members to serve on the Council of Bishops Advancement Committee. Bishop Terry Tramel of the Cornerstone Conference was elected to serve as chair, joined by Bishop Michael Ainsworth of the Cornerstone Conference, Bishop Hector Andrade of the ACROSS Conference, Bishop Jamie Grisham of the Tennessee Valley Conference and Bishop Scott Hampton of the Great Plains Conference.
Council of Bishops Committee on the Officers
The Council also elected members to serve on the Council of Bishops Committee on the Officers. Bishop Michael Ainsworth was selected as the Council of Bishops representative, and Pastor Bill Rose was selected as the pastor representative serving on the Council of Bishops. Bishop Larry Meadors was selected by the four IPHC officers to serve as the third member of the committee.
These elections mark another important step in implementing the leadership structure established for the 2026-2030 quadrennium. The IPHC is grateful for the prayerful service of the Council of Bishops and each individual who has accepted the responsibility to serve the church in this new season.
