On July 28 and 29, 2023, the Alpha Conference convened in Greenville, AL, at LifeChange Church for their 14th Quadrennial Conference.
On Saturday, the business session began with worship. Afterwards, reports were given, and Conference Superintendent Jason Bieler gave his State of the Conference Address in which he shared exciting changes in Alpha Conference including a new church plant, Awaken Church; One in Christ Mission in Pensacola, FL, which ministers to the homeless; and Rick and Tammy Fountain and their leadership in HGM, Leadership, and Arise in Prayer trainings. Superintendent Bieler also encouraged unity and connection in order to fulfill Alpha Conference’s vision of building healthier local churches.
A vast majority of the 91 delegates voted to end the statute of limitations on term limits.
John Duncan and Todd OBert were ordained, along with six minister’s license and four church minister’s license.
Elections were held, and Jason Bieler was elected as Conference Superintendent after taking the position following former Conference Superintendent Mike Gray’s passing.
Rev. Al Bethea was re-elected as Assistant Superintendent.
Rev. Rick Fountain, Rev. Steven Massengill, and Rev. Jon Potter were elected as Council members.

The conference also recognized the following ministers who have passed away in 2023: Rev. Homer E. Stewart and Rev. Winston C. Hollingsworth.
