Last week, South Carolina Conference held their Great Commission Meals to raise funds for the World Missions Department. Matt Bennett, Director of People to People Ministries, was present representing the humanitarian arm of IPHC. He was joined by itinerating missionaries, including Dan and Brenda Clowers and Russell and Sandra Board.
While he was in South Carolina, several requests for medical assistance were submitted by People to People leadership around the world. Feeling the weight of these needs, Matt presented the needs to the South Carolina Conference requesting help during the Tuesday evening meal. Immediately, Dean Morgan, South Carolina’s Conference Mission’s Director, pledged $1000 from the Conference. Another $500 was pledged by Morris Smith, South Carolina’s Discipleship Ministries Director, and an additional $100 gift was given.
Within hours of learning about the needs, God provided the funds necessary for one of several requests made that day, through the generosity of the IPHC body.
