$25 a month provides for the basic needs of food, clothing and education for a child in need. Children sponsored through People to People have a higher rate of graduation, finding salaried employment and becoming influential leaders in their community and church.
Individual Sponsorship: Support from all sponsors is combined to assist in the basic needs of all children in a location while giving sponsors an opportunity to connect with an individual child. A profile of a child is provided and correspondence between the child and sponsor is possible.
Location Sponsorship: Support from all sponsors is combined to assist in the basic needs of children in a specific location where families are transient. Newsletters from the ministry and correspondence from various children in the location are provided for the sponsor.
How do I make contributions?
Contributions of $25 a month, $150 bi-annual, or $300 annual can be made:
Online: Click on Give Now or Give to this Project. Already a Sponsor? When creating your online account we will match your information with our data base. You will then be able to locate your sponsored child in the update payment methods tab. Not a sponsor? After creating your online account, select an un-sponsored child to add to your cart and proceed to check out.
U.S. Mail: Send check or money order (earmarked with your child’s ID number) to:
People to People Ministries P.O. Box 270420 Oklahoma City, OK 73137
Can I send my child additional monetary gifts?
Yes. Monetary gifts of $25 or less are acceptable for a child’s birthday or other special occasion. Please be sure to designate the gift separate from your monthly contribution. For example: A $35 contribution should be earmarked: $25 – child’s ID# Support, $10 – child’s ID# Gift. If sponsorship support has not been received or is behind, funds designated ‘gift’ will be applied to sponsorship support first.
Christmas Spirit: Monetary gifts sent for Christmas are added to People to People’s Christmas Spirit campaign. The Christmas Spirit campaign raises funds to provide all the children in the sponsorship program with a Christmas party, a special gift and an opportunity to hear the story of Christ’s birth.
Can I send my child a package?
We are not able to send packages to your sponsored child. It is encouraged for you to send greeting cards or other items made of paper and no larger than 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 1/4″ thick.
*Please be mindful of the economic differences shared between you and your sponsored child. Please do not include pictures of cars, homes, etc. that may make the economic differences more obvious and difficult.
We cannot send any metal (jewelry, ornaments, or magnets), perishable items (gum, candy, flower seeds), or larger items (soccer balls, clothes, backpacks).
