A Note from World Missions Ministries
On Behalf of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church World Missions Ministries (WMM) family, we extend our deepest condolences to the family of Jacquelyn Sylvester.
Jackie faithfully served the Lord in the Philippines for 15 years. She first arrived in 1981 as a LOVE (Lay Overseas Volunteer) worker where she assisted in administrative duties and teaching. In 1993 she became a missionary status worker and was appointed as the Philippines’ Field Superintendent, according to The Simultaneous Principle by Frank G. Tunstall.
Dedicated to the Lord’s work in the Philippines, Jackie spent her next few years overseeing five conferences and three Bible schools, and traveling though the nation, encouraging the Filipino National Board to lead the Church in a more active way. When she departed from the field in 1996, she reported back confidence in their ability to lead. Jackie was the last Field Superintendent to serve there, leaving behind a matured Pentecostal Holiness National Church.
“WMM honors Jackie in both her selfless servitude to the Kingdom and her profound devotion to the Lord,” WMM Executive Director Bishop J. Talmadge Gardner shared. “We thank the Lord for her life and ministry legacy.”
