Baptisms in Narganjo, India

January 24, 2017

By: Michael John

Spirit of God is moving in a powerful way in Narganjo!

Last month, Pastor Shantial Soren invited me for a 2-day spiritual revival meeting in his church in Narganjo, Bihar. I was thrilled to see 500 people gathered there to hear God’s word. I was amazed to see what God is doing in this area. The church in Narganjo is reaching out to neighboring villages with the gospel of Jesus Christ. 45 were baptized during this meeting. It was quite an experience to see people desperate to accept Jesus as their personal savior. More than 60 people who are new to the faith are also ready, and the local leadership plan to baptize them next year.

Pastor Shantial and his assistant, Lukas, travel by motorbike to more than one hundred villages during the week to share about Christ. Many people are seeing miracles happen in Jesus’ name.

Please continue to pray for this ministry. Believers have to walk for 3 hours across hills to reach the church building in Narganjo. We need to build new church sheds in this area. We are praying for God’s provision so that we can provide church locations in Jurpaniya, Bon Pokhra, and Lowadih. All these places have more than 50 believers. People in these villages are ready to donate land for the buildings. The cost to build a small church shed is $5,000.
