Disaster Relief: Myanmar
- People to People Ministries
On March 28, 2025, the people of Myanmar were hit with a massive earthquake that demolished homes, destroyed one of our IPHC church buildings, and has killed over 2,900 people. Those left to grieve are now without their homes as entire towns have fallen in because of the magnitude of the earthquake. People are still being pulled from the rubble as we speak.
Our IPHC National Leader, James Lian Sai, made sure to mention that the earthquake is not the sole issue in Myanmar but rather an exacerbation of an already trying situation. Homelessness and food insecurity were already huge issues in Myanmar but have since multiplied thanks to the natural disaster.
By clicking Give Here, you can donate to our disaster relief fund. 100% of your donations will go straight to Myanmar to help buy food, clothes, medical supplies, transportation, sleeping bags, and any other emergency supplies the community may need.
Additionally, People to People Director Bryan Nix continues to search for 50 churches or donors who would be willing to donate $100 a month towards our Disaster Relief fund so that we can send resources quickly in the event of a massive natural disaster, instead of having to wait for donations to come. If you or your church would be interested in supporting the global church in this way, head to the PTP website to learn more.
Join us in Prayer:
- Pray that the Lord would give his perfect peace to those who have lost their family members, friends, and homes.
- Pray that those who are still being pulled from the wreckage would find safety and healing.
- Pray for our contact in Myanmar, IPHC National Leader James Lian Sai, as he undergoes his 8th round of chemo in the midst of the turmoil.
- Pray for the restoration of the local IPHC church and safety for the attendees, many of whom are sleeping in shelters because their homes were destroyed.
