Dear Partners and Friends,
We are grateful to God for answering our prayers! We are so pleased and honored to be included as recipients of the 2024 Antioch Grant for our two building projects: Hope Center Thailand and the Motana Church-Based Training Center. Thank you to IPHC WMM through our Executive Director, Bishop Talmadge Gardner and the WMM council for their kindness and consideration in granting the funds needed for the two said projects. Thank you to the Rev. Dr. Terry Tramel and all supporters of the GO Offering! Thank you to all our partners in the gospel for your prayers, generosity, and unwavering support.
The tribal ministry outreach is continuously thriving as well as with the other ethnic groups! Six people from the Karen tribe received the Lord on Dec. 8 during a Christmas Celebration in Ratchaburi Province. Then, on Dec. 13, more than 50 Karen tribe people received the Lord. We were also overwhelmed with joy celebrating Christmas with the Akha tribe in the north near the Myanmar border on Dec. 29, and at our Thai church in Don Muang, Bangkok on December 24. It is very encouraging to see people praising God and sharing the love of Jesus with one another. He is indeed the reason for this blessed season.
The Thailand Theological Seminary (TTS), under the leadership of Dr. Wallapa Wisawasukmongchol, is progressing tremendously. As the number of students increases, there are now 11 branches in various parts of the country. We are so excited for the upcoming, third commencement exercises in November where over 320 students are expected to graduate. We are so excited and honored to have our Presiding Bishop, Dr. Doug Beacham as our guest speaker for this very special occasion. The support, time, and teachings from our gifted professors from IPHC USA to equip our people are highly appreciated. Thanks to Dr. Vance Bloss and Rev. Marvin Goodnight of Cornerstone Conference in North Carolina who came and ministered to our people; especially the TTS students last November 2024. We have more instructors coming and lined up to teach at TTS this year; namely, Dr. Edgar Banaga, Dr. James Eby, and Dr. Sabu Abraham.
Truly we can shout, "Great is thy faithfulness, O God Almighty!" The twenty-second anniversary of Thai Church in Don Muang, Bangkok on Jan. 28, 2024, was a huge success. This church is the first IPHC church in Thailand. By the grace of God, we were privileged to plant this church. It started from one church, and now, IPHC Thailand (Alliance Church Association) has about 140 churches (an increase from last year’s 114) in various locations from different nationalities and ethnic groups. To God be the glory! Thanks to Rev. Russell Board, Rev. Dr. Wallapa Wisasukmongchol and her husband, and Rev. Dr. Wirach for their personal sacrifices and tireless efforts to make these things possible.
The English Camp conducted by missionary Abigail Bishop and her team last Dec. 12 at Don Muang Church was full of fun and excitement in learning English. Moreover, her Saturday English class, which is free of charge, is moving forward. Thanks to all supporters of People to People Ministries for helping us in reaching out to the kids through this ministry.
We are praying and looking forward to a more fruitful ministry and a brighter 2024. Thank you and may the Lord richly and abundantly bless us all.
Your Co-laborers in Christ,
Brother Albert and Sister Jiep Gonzales
