EXCITING MINISTRY UPDATES
This year has been filled with exciting blessings and opportunities. We began attending Passport, the missions training event led by Dr. Harold Dalton and Matt Bennett. Then we had the opportunity of ministering in the missions meals in many areas of the conference. In March, we went to Texas to minister, teach, and participate in the reunion of Berea Bible Institute. Muchas Gracias to Revs. Miguel Casanova, Sam Montoya, Mario Gutierrez, Jose Luis Salazar, Ben De La Rosa, David Galvez, Leroy Baker and many others who extended hospitality to us while we were in Texas. We had a great time of fellowship with leaders who had been Lois’ students when she taught at Berea.
Hugh graduated this year from Carolina Graduate School of Divinity with a Doctor of Ministry degree. At commencement, he was also presented with the award for excellence!
We spent the entire month of June in Kenya as Lois taught on developing ethical training in the family and Hugh taught a course in theology at East Africa Bible College. We were able to share in the excitement of graduation. Also there were opportunities for us to minister several times at Calvary Worship Centre in Nairobi.
CUBA MINISTRY
We are very excited to have been invited to teach in a leadership training event in Cuba around the first full week in November. As you know, the Cuban conference has had limited interaction with the rest of the world for the past fifty years. Due to limited resources, their conference leadership and pastors have been unable to meet together for training as often as they would like. The have requested that we come for the purpose of giving advanced training for all leadership including 100 ministers and house church leaders. We need to raise the entire amount of expenses for their transportation and meals, amounting to $3,000. Please prayerfully consider sharing with us financially.
On October 15th, Hugh will be going to India and will teach in the Church Planters School. Dr. Hugh Skelton, former director of the CICM in London, will be team-teaching with him.
Thank you so much for your consistent prayer support. As we go in obedience to the Lord’s commands, we realize how totally dependent we are on HIM for His provision and protection. How keenly are we aware of your prayerful concern for us as we are training church planters and leaders for the End Time Harvest. Thank you again for your prayerful support.
