Meyer Newsletter: April 2026
God’s creation and love expressed in people and nature were so relevant in Lesotho. King Moshoeshoe 1 founded the Basotho Nation. It is governed separately
from South Africa. In 1966, the Basotho Nation became the Kingdom of Lesotho, a constitutional monarchy. Lesotho, surrounded by the country of South Africa, is known for its mountain terrain and is often called the “Kingdom in the Sky”.
During the training sessions in Lesotho in March, we focused on rooting and grounding those who attended in the Word of God. Seventy students attended sessions on “How to Teach Children God’s Word” using music, sound, rhythm, numbers, shapes, and colors. In addition, Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) hosted a training on Child Evangelism using the Super Seminar (developed as a seminar for churches, communities, schools, and NGOs to train children’s workers to reach kids and disciple them by establishing kids’ clubs, as well as to strengthen the creative teaching of God’s Word in Sunday School).
Local schools are open to the Gospel, and our in-school devotions were welcomed with enthusiasm. Soekie Krog, the musician who traveled with me, presented each of the
devotions and recorded a Kids’ Praise Album for Lesotho. This marks her 16th album of Africa’s children praising God in their own language. During these training visits, students are invited to attend a certificate course, followed by a diploma course in Children’s Ministry. Upon returning from Lesotho, I visited the Children’s Ministry Training Institute in De Deur, South Africa. I checked on students from Malawi, and then met up with Beth, a US missionary serving with CEF in Southern Africa, and my instructor. Recently, Beth and some of her students were attacked and robbed at gunpoint. Please keep them in prayer, as well as protection for all Christian workers moving around Africa on God’s mission.
Thank you to all of the prayer warriors and supporters. I would sincerely appreciate your continued monthly support for visiting and equipping nations in Southern Africa (17 countries). I was due for furlough in January, but it has been delayed until the end of 2026. Thankfully, I was able to renew my passport and update my various electronic devices. Please continue to pray for the 4/14 window within the 10/40 window. Let’s keep our focus on Matthew 18:14:
In the same way, your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish...
Please pray for the developing network of families and children among Unreached People Groups. Plan to join the 12-hour global event on July 18, 2026. This network mobilizes prayer to foster a heart for God’s mission among missional families.
Mission blessings,
