Dear Supporters and Intercessors,
Thank you for bringing the Light to the world!
We are all in advent countdown days. I just read a post by Annie B. Jones that said, “I almost always come limping into Advent, desperate for the light, but almost too tired to look for it. Then I remember: The Light came looking for me, and that’s the whole point.”
It is the Light who came for us that you are sending to the world. Here is a testimony from the Malawi of one who received the Light and has now brought the Light to their world.
This picture was taken 11 years ago in a village called Misesa, Malawi. In the picture are Robert and Daniel (both in red shirts). These are children’s ministry workers who trained in Malawi and are still serving God’s Word to the children today. Read their story about bringing the Light to their world.
Robert is volunteering today as a spiritual outreach coordinator with Cure Children’s Hospital, reaching 100 kids per week with the Gospel. After corrective surgery, the kids return to their village evangelized, discipled, and equipped with resources to bring the Gospel and Word of God to their families and friends to impact their village. Even their care givers are trained and equipped to preach and teach. Can you see them all take the Light to their world.
Daniel is burdened with God’s dream for Malawi to win all kids for Christ. He is now based at the border village of Mwanza. He started with kids in his area by teaching them in preschool, a weekly club, and in Sunday school. Daniel also has a desire to attend the Children’s Ministry Institute in South Africa. He and Towera, who is now the Malawi PHC National Children’s Ministry Leader, are ready with their passports and registration. They will be leaving Malawi mid-January 2024 for three months to complete their diploma in Children’s Ministry. When I met Daniel in 2010, he spoke a very broken English while attending the first class of training in child evangelism. Today, he is fluent in English and has completed all certificate courses in children’s ministry, Bible school, and now pastoring as well. My heart is blessed by the development of the ministry workers equipped to serve God’s children and, in turn, taking the Light to their world.
2023 has been a year of impact on the nations in Southern Africa. Through supporting this ministry, the Light will be taken to all the 16 nations we are targeting by January 2026. Just imagine kids being mobilized in all these nations, singing praises, worship, and declarations of God in their own language. Kids are learning about the next steps in missions and how to pray for the unreached people groups. These are global events kids are participating in to have a global impact as they take the Light to their world.
In 2024 the following nations will experience learning to grow their children’s ministry development. Training will be presented in January in Eswatini, February in Botswana, April in Tanzania, May in Malawi, June/July in Madagascar, Mauritius, and Rodriquez, and August in Mozambique. Other countries still need to respond to a date suitable for them. Pray for Burundi and KwaZulu-Natal dates to fall into place. Countries that still need to open the door to planning a training time are Zambia and Zimbabwe. Pray for persons of peace to arise as representatives for the IPHC in Lesotho, Namibia, Seychelles, and Comoros so we can share the Light of the world with them.
A special breakfast on Christmas day will be served to over 100 street kids while hearing the Christmas Story in Malawi. Chichewa Bibles will be handed out and a blessing spoken over the kids for the coming year while asking God to meet all their needs.
It is your support that helps send the Light. To manage all the ministry, training, and trips, consider partnering with me through ministry account 10101M. Send the support through your local church office or online: https://give.iphc.org/project/meyer-althea-ministry.
May this season usher in your abundant blessings,
