Good News:
We have been on the State side for a long time now, but we are grateful that our stay here is coming to an end. We just received a letter from the Immigration office bringing a close to Yasinta’s naturalization process. Rejoice with us.
Unfinished Churches:
As I shared in my last newsletter, the challenge we have in Central Africa is church buildings. I am glad to report that, with your help, we have been able to roof one church in Mbeya, Block T (see photos). We have three more churches that need roofing: one is in Dodoma Central Tanzania (Project #12509P) and needs $8,000; the second is in Singida, Central Tanzania and needs $5,000; and the third is in Kilimanjaro North Eastern Tanzania, and needs $5,000. If you would like to help with roofing these churches, please send your contributions to the Tanzania Church Planting Project #12006P.
We are still in need of funds to put windows, doors, and floors in the two churches we built in 2014. Kimamba Church (Project #12504P) needs $8,000; and Kilosa Church (Project #12505P) needs $7,000.
Great Speakers:
We had an opportunity to attend School of Missions 2016 in Oklahoma City, where we were blessed with great speakers and were able to meet with many of our fellow missionaries. We also were privileged to attend the Conference Session of The South Carolina Conference in May, as well as the Camp meeting. Dr. Mark Rutland, Dr. Frank Tunstall, and Dr. Ron Phillips were the speakers of the Camp meeting and they were great.
Licensed:
While we are waiting for Yasinta’s paperwork with immigration to be completed, she attended School of Ministry classes and attained her license. Yes, she was licensed by the South Carolina Conference in May 2016 during the Conference session!
Our long stay here is a blessing, not a waste. Praise the Lord. We will send an update to you all as we get closer to our departure to the mission field.
Wedding:
This summer will always be a memorable time to us as a family. Our son Elifadhili got married and so the Lord has given us a daughter–in-law, Ms. LaShawn Ashford Mrema. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of lights. We are glad for the addition to our family. Elishama and Lydia are praying for direction, so please lift them up in your prayers.
Appreciation:
We greatly appreciate your partnership with us in missions. Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support. Please continue to uphold us in prayers in all our travels ahead.
