Hello friends and mission partners!
Here is a brief update on the wonderful things the Lord has been doing over the past few weeks in our mission field.
We now have seven churches and three house churches in Switzerland. Pictured below are Kathleen and I with the leader, Igor Agapov, and his wife, Lena. We visited them and all their pastors last month. The war against Ukraine forced many Russian and Ukrainian Christians to flee. They began winning people to Jesus in cities like Zurich, Bern, and Luzerne, and now there are 1,500 believers in these new churches.
Three weeks ago, I joined our ministries in the Netherlands for a day of prayer. I can attest that these ministries are vibrant and fruitful. Matt and Femke Helland and their family, missionaries in the Netherlands, have been faithful for many years, and we have witnessed good results. René and Riske de Cock, pictured below, were the first Dutchmen for the Hellands to train as pastors. Today, their ministry is thriving.
I just recently returned from Finland, where General Superintendent Bishop Beacham and first-lady Susan Beacham, as well as World Missions’ Bishop Talmadge Gardner, joined us in two days of prayer, followed by the Pentecostal World Fellowship Conference. It was a long 10 full days of meetings, but I returned to London enthused and refreshed. Our IPHC leaders in Finland, Johanna and Atte, are doing a very good job of establishing the IPHC in their homeland.
We are grateful for your prayers and financial support. We also invite you to join us in an excellent opportunity to help mothers and children escape the bombing and hardships of Ukraine. We have arranged for many of them to come to a safe, pleasant, 10-day camp in Poland where they can receive prayer, care, and three meals a day. This costs $21 per woman per day. These mothers have chosen to return to Ukraine to assist during the war, but the 10-day retreat will refresh them for the next season of ministry back in Ukraine.
You can give online to help us with this special retreat at give.iphc.org/project/poland-war-victims.
There is so much more to share but let me stop before I get into our new ministries in Scotland and the latest news regarding the London School of Ministry.
Thank you!
