We sincerely hope the year 2015 and the beginning of 2016 will find you and yours blessed, prospering, and in good health. Just a note: we pray for our people and count you as a blessing and a great help to do our part in preaching this gospel around the world. Everyone doing their part is helping to usher the return of our Lord and Savior. This gospel must be preached around the world, for the world needs this gospel. You are a part of all we do and a blessing to us!
In the month of October, we participated in a baptismal service. That day our group baptized 98 people! Water baptism can cause one to be ostracized from family, friends, and sometimes work. We have seen first-hand how Latin society can respond in a negative manner at times. In this work we have a School of Ministry with 200 alumni. The baptisms were results of the leadership of that church and the education and training given.
A big thank you to South Henderson PHC who provided the group “BAD BOYS” and The North Carolina Conference for the funds for the building. Just to be clear- IT WAS HOT. The temps ran over 106 degrees; no shade, but those boys hung in there.
MEN’S RETREAT UP IN THE MOUNTAINS
I was one of the main speakers for a men’s retreat up in the mountains. Phyllis attended but only to help with the cooking and serving. Yes, she did and was glad to do it. Cold and little hot water. Serving can be done in many ways, does not matter in what manner, and it is always sincerely appreciated. We had a small cabin. One brother asked if he could use our shower, thinking we had hot water. Of course, I said, “sure”. He found out that we didn’t live much differently than anyone else. Cold showers on cold days can help one realize that quick!
FIRST QUARTER OF 2016
After the first of the year, if all goes well, the plan is to start four more Schools of Ministry in different parts of the country. We already did the ground work, and we are putting together the process now. These schools run from one and a half to three years, depending on the amount of time a group has available to put into the material. Harvest never comes without preparation.
WORD FROM PHYLLIS
Greetings. In August, many know that the newest addition to our family arrived. Our daughter regularly sends us videos, messages, etc about her growing. That makes three- GRAND-BABIES RULE! Also, Ron just had a birthday; I must say it is a blessing to have such a strong, loving and wonderful man in my life. We are blessed to have such wonderful friends and partners, as together we fulfill the Great Commission. Blessings to you and yours!
As you can see, we are living life and count ourselves blessed. The older I get, the more I realize a year can pass so fast. Soon, we will be seeing Him face to face. What a day, no more night, no growing old, problems all past, home at last, by grave or rapture, WE WIN. Praise the Lord!
