FIELD UPDATES
First, we want to take the opportunity to say THANK YOU!
GOD-YOU-US
If one prevails against him, two shall withstand him, and a threefold cord is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12). There is no place I would rather be than working in the harvest!
MORE OF A GOOD THING IS ALWAYS BETTER
We are busy holding meetings. In addition to the meetings, recently, we began a new training school of ministry. These meetings are for the local church leadership, as well as for those who would like to grow in their knowledge of the Bible. We are beginning with 27 new students.
PACIFIC COAST CONFERENCE
At the Pacific Coast Conference, we had a packed house. Attendance was in the neighborhood of 3,000 people. Our speakers included Bishop Doug Beacham and Holmes Bible College President Chris Thompson.
HOLMES BIBLE COLLEGE MEXICO (HBCM)
HBCM recently graduated 22 students. The graduating class consisted of doctors, lawyers, engineers, and other professionals.
MISSIONS IS THE HEART OF THE SAVIOR
HBCM began a new school year with 20 more students and 15 others in waiting. In addition to regular studies, a new course will be added to the studies, geared for the Gulf Coast Region, “MISSIONS”. PTL
LOCAL MINISTERIAL TRAINING REACHING ALL LEVELS
Education without inspiration is a lot of head knowledge going nowhere. However, inspiration without education is a disaster waiting to happen. Education and inspiration are good if combined. Continuing education with lifelong inspiration is excellent.
This event hosted 87 attendees. These courses are offered throughout the Gulf Coast Region for four days, six hours a day, twice a year. Their purpose is to generate advanced teaching, training, and fresh ideas for church growth and outreach. PTL
PHYL’S WORLD: NEW ADDITION
In our last newsletter, we did not know if our newest grandchild was going to be a boy or girl. Ron said boy; Amber said girl. Well, Ron was right. It is a boy.
We are staying busy. The newsletter does not really cover all that we are doing, but it will suffice to say preaching, holding meetings, and attending ministerial functions. We have to balance it all. The heat has arrived, and it is HOT. Thankfully we have air conditioning.
As mentioned before, Holmes recently graduated 22 students. We were able to spend time with Brother Beacham and Chris Thompson. Brother Beacham was our missions director for seven years, and Chris Thompson was our conference superintendent for eight years. It is always good to have visitors on the field who produce blessings.
We are doing well. Our family is also doing well, and our prayer is that you and your family are doing well too. God is so good.
We are thankful for you, and you are appreciated.
Blessings, Phyllis
IN CLOSING
ITINERATION
We will be coming to the U.S. in December, if nothing changes. Our agenda for 2023 is already filling up. We are booking meetings in the U.S. for the first part of 2023. Our contact information is listed. We would appreciate the opportunity to share what has been accomplished and which direction we are taking to do our part to bring in the modern-day harvest.
Your prayers, giving, and faithfulness to the Great Commission help make it all possible. Matthew 19:26 says, With God all things are possible. Mark 9:23 says All things are possible to him that believes. They said it couldn’t be done. It’s getting done. We serve the God who does the impossible. PTL
GENERAL CONFERENCE
The Gulf Coast Region will have delegates from Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala attending this year's General Conference. We hope to see you there!
Blessings,
Ron & Phyllis Roy
