GREETINGS EVERYONE
As always, we trust all is well with you and your loved ones. Family is a very important part of life.
We have a lot to report on, but so little space. Time seems to go by so fast. We are already six months into 2025.
As missionaries and as Regional Director, we work in several different ministry avenues. In this newsletter, the focus will be mostly on ministerial training. We believe a properly trained believer is a great asset.
Guatemala
I was asked to speak in February at the annual conference meeting and midterm elections. A great group of people gathered. Guatemala is a well-run conference.
At the beginning of May, Guatemala hosted a three-day training event that was well attended.
Mexico
In April, Mexico hosted a triple event: the Annual Convention and a double graduation. Approximately 3,000 or more people attended the entire event.
Kevin Sneed, President of Holmes Bible College USA, attended and spoke to the alumni of Holmes Mexico. President Sneed gave an excellent presentation and bonded with the alumni. We look forward to working with him in the future.
Every six months, a five-day training called CURSUM is put on throughout Mexico for practical ministerial training for pastors and staff. Some of the events will host roughly 100 attendees. For this most recent event, we had 25 students finish the studies for different levels.
Holmes has also started a master’s program. New classes for the undergraduate program are being offered to 35 students. Similarly, 35 alumni also enrolled as students again for the master’s program. This year’s total enrollment for Holmes’ new and master’s students totals 70 students.
Belize
World Missions Ministries has carried a ministry presence in Belize for many years. Belize offers a great strategic location. Its borders are the Yucatán, Cantina Roo areas of Mexico, the coast of Guatemala, and the northern tip of Honduras. Training and educating our leaders have become a priority for this area of the Gulf Coast Region.
We have enlisted Delaine Dimsdale, a missionary with World Missions Ministries, as the education director. We are working to move forward, Praise the Lord.
PHYL'S WORLD
We were very pleased and blessed to have Kevin Sneed, President of Holmes Bible College, for the Convention and Graduation in Mexico.
Many remember our daughter Amber. She received her master’s degree from Oral Roberts University and was elected to the Alumni Association's Board of Directors. She is still heavily involved in missions.
Our granddaughter Sydney will be getting married in October, and we deeply miss all those grandbabies. They grow up so fast.
We are doing well. We are thankful for the Lord’s many blessings. Thank you, dear partners, for your prayers and support. Ron and I love and appreciate you.
Sincerely, Phyllis
In Closing
As mentioned briefly, we cannot put in writing all that is going on, holding meetings, construction, working with conference leaders and pastors, and an occasional date with Phyllis—usually at a nearby restaurant (she likes seafood).
Family relations are very important to Phyllis and me. We have children and grandkids, and my mom is turning 94 and is in good health and mind. We have also built relationships on and off the field through the years.
God desires a relationship with you and all of His creation. That is His passion, His heart's desire, His vision for mankind, and that is OUR MISSION—REACHING THE LOST and MAKING DISCIPLES.
You are loved, appreciated, and needed. Your faithful prayers and support help us to help others.
