GREETINGS EVERYONE
We trust you are blessed and in good health spiritually and physically, and prospering in all that He has given to you.
We want to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to all who pray and support us financially. You are a part of all that we do. From our hearts to you, thank you.
Mexico
Recently, there has been a lot in the news and a lot happening in our churches. I want to share just a few highlights. Altars have been filled at the meetings that Phyllis and I have held. On June 8 and August 3, we had baptismal services. Then, during a meeting on August 24, 34 were baptized. Since the beginning of the year, there have been 131 baptisms in that church alone. The message is a simple one: HE LIVES!
We also recently held a two-day meeting in Ensenada and visited a well-run orphanage. We spent time with a group visiting from Philadelphia, USA, and held a bilingual service where members from the group responded to the altar call. A biblical harvest can take place no matter where you are. We either plant the seed or gather the harvest. We are excited to be a part of it all. Praise the Lord!
The building program in San Felipe is entering the last stage. The work slowed down for a short time as temperatures reached 119 degrees Fahrenheit. When possible, the construction moves forward until the heat gets too high. Thankfully, cooler weather is on the way, and if all goes well, it should be finished soon, and people can occupy the building. This will be another one for the books.
Belize
The Crique Sarco building in Belize is complete! A special thank you to the generous donor who provided the materials to finish this project. With the funds made available, the church people did the work.
In June, I (Ron) met with all our leaders in Belize. Delaine Dimsdale, a WMM missionary and the director for Advantage Bible College Belize Conference (classes began this summer), was also present. We had five meetings in three hot, humid, and productive days.
Guatemala
Also, in June, a meeting was held for Guatemala’s youth. We received reports that over 100 youth accepted the call for salvation.
On August 16, a leadership meeting was held with WMM missionary Matthew Helland as the speaker. Though travel in Guatemala can be slow and costly, this event was well attended.
In Closing
Everything that has a beginning, has an end. Such is life. Similarly, we are booked through the end of the year and look forward to the new year with new opportunities.
We sometimes make things more complicated than they are. In Acts 1:8, Jesus left us with a vision. His vision is that we preach the gospel around the world. To align with that vision, our goal and any conversation we have when speaking to ministers remains the same: win the lost and make disciples! His vision is our mission. Your prayers and support help us do just that.
PHYL'S WORLD:
Greetings, dear friends and partners.
We have been busy with meetings, visiting the orphanage, and doing our part to fulfill the Great Commission. And the heat, yes, it has been super-hot. I am very thankful for air conditioning.
We are so thankful for God’s blessings, especially for our personal health and for you. Your prayers and support go a long way. As the saying goes, “to help someone is to help someone to help someone else”.
Love and Blessings! Sincerely, Phyllis
Blessings,
Ron & Phyllis Roy
