As stated in our last newsletter, IPHC Nepal is now a legal church organization. This gives IPHC Nepal an opportunity to own its own properties and churches. The chairman, Ashok Lama, travels to various provinces when there are no lockdown restrictions. Our church network and leadership team are growing. We are grateful to Ashok and the Province leaders for their work in the Kingdom of God. We also honor his wife, Sunu, for her faithfulness and prayer life.
The Nepal church network has currently reached 564 churches. The Nepal People To People Child Sponsorship Program is also growing, and we are grateful to each sponsor for the blessing you are to our pastors' families.
With the growth in Nepal, we are now proposing a headquarters project. This is a $390,000 project for a training center, coffee house, guest facility, and housing for the chairman. After launching the project four months ago, we currently have $136,000 raised. To the Lord be the glory, great things He has done and is doing!
In honor of the first anniversary of the death of Jackie Hess on July 2, 2020, World Missions Ministries, in consultation with Rev. Hans Hess and their daughters, Sarah and Alex, would like to announce that the funds from World Missions Ministries Jackie Hess Memorial Fund #98005P will be designated to the development of IPHC’s first multi-use campus in Nepal in her honor and memory.
We have postponed our return to Nepal until January 2022 due to local shutdowns around Nepal because of the Delta Variant. We would not be able to travel for the re-licensing of our pastors and licensing of our new pastors with a legal registration card. This is also giving us a chance to continue with fundraising for the newly proposed Nepal IPHC Headquarters Building.
Anthony Misquitta is leading the India Western IPHC Conference into growth. They have added nine churches recently, making a total of 44 churches. We are grateful for Tony and his leadership. We also honor his wife, Roma, for her faithfulness and prayer life.
We are thankful for our faithful partners who have allowed us to continue the ministry in strategic locations in Asia. We pray for peace, protection, and comfort over each of you and your families during this season.
