As we go into this wonderful Christmas and New Year season we, first and foremost, thank you for your continuous prayers and financial support.
If you don’t have a print or e-book version of our 30 Days of Prayer for the Philippines, we invite you to download it FREE today here.
Your prayers are important and appreciated. Just this week, the US Embassy put out an alert that extremists had targeted areas within driving distance to our home as places where possible kidnappings could take place. In fact, some of our church members have homes in the stated area. While we know we are secure in Him, we do appreciate your prayers.
Coffee Shop Update:
We are thrilled Life Coffee House & Library has been approved in our local community and we are beginning renovation as early as next week.
The library will host LifeGroups, corporate prayer, a new School of Ministry, reading literacy programs, ESL (English as a Second Language) Outreach as well as other evangelism opportunities.
We are directly across the road from a major university and down the street from several high schools, a medical school as well as countless offices. We are SO excited and thankful for all those who’ve donated books and/or finances to make this dream a reality.
We are still praying for $13,800 between now and the end of the year to help with renovation and start-up costs including salary for our full-time workers who will help us maintain mall hours of 10am-9pm Monday through Sunday.
If you feel led to help with this project, please earmark your special gift to 24019P or give online here!
Russell Board, Asia Director for World Mission Ministries says “Life Library and Coffee House will provide a much needed place for both evangelism and discipleship. I am confident that investment in this strategic project will yield lasting dividends.”
Tim Salley, our Southeast Asia Director writes, “The vision of this ministry fits into World Missions Ministries’ long term strategy of evangelism, discipleship and leadership training. Specifically, this center will be the location for a new School of Ministry that the Argos plan to launch in January 2017. This new Cebu School of Ministry is a part of a vast network of World Missions Ministries’ Schools of Ministry throughout Asia.”
Upward Sports Update:
We are coming to the end of our Life Upward Sports Soccer Season and each week we have about 70 parents, players and coaches involved in this activity. Thank you for your prayers for this and other creative ministries we are connected with.
Not only are we asking God to help us specifically with $13,800 for the Life Library but we are also asking God to help us raise an additional $15,000 for our support account (#28061S) so we can finish 2016 strong and continue to extend His territory! Your financial support has: started churches, rebuilt houses after disasters, contributed to medical outreaches, helped sponsor needy children and families and so so much more. Remember the words of Christ in Matthew 25:40: ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
