GREETINGS
Our report has spiritually positive news in a negative environment. We just sent out an e-newletter (if you would like to be included on that list, please ask: bcave@iphc.org) reporting great things happening in Israel, Turkey, and Ukraine. The Lord is also accelerating in some of our other 26 countries in Europe and the Middle East. This year marks our 30th year in Missions and we are so grateful we listened to the call because it is getting better every year.
TURKEY
I know I keep talking about Turkey, but I believe the Lord is up to something and we are going to see His hand open up this Muslim country. I was at our Laodicea church not too long ago and not only witnessed His hand on the Turks, but He was positioning the Iranian people as well. Right after our Turkish service, about 150 Iranians came in and worshipped for the next couple of hours. They have all fled Iran because they are Christians and their lives are always in danger. Well over a million Syrian refugees are settled in Turkey, not going on to other areas in Europe. Our missionaries in this area have built great relationships with many refugees because they speak Arabic, having spent time in Jordan for a number of years.
BETHLEHEM MIRACLE
Friends of ours live in Bethlehem and founded our church there. On December 15th, the couple had triplets, but one brother had a severe case of epilepsy and doctors had to keep him in the hospital for almost 3 months, trying everything to find a cure. The child was even taken from Bethlehem to the best hospital in Jerusalem. Then, without medical hope, they took their son home, the doctors thought, to die. At home they prayed and anointed him almost every hour. God had a different verdict than the doctors and – miraculously – since they brought their son home (see Deuteronomy 33:12), he has been seizure-free. This has been a great testimony in their Palestinian community.
TURKEY LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
Over 40 countries were represented as we gathered in Kusadasi, Turkey with some of the IPHC global leaders and our World Missions team. We are all committed to the Great Commission, asking how we can bring in the end time harvest as we work together more closely.
Our European and Middle Eastern leaders also made time to vote on forming “IPHC Europe and Middle East Fellowship”. Our ultimate goal is to advance and accelerate the effectiveness of winning people to Christ across the whole of Europe and the Middle East. We all hunger to see a great harvest of people coming to Christ over the next 5 years. It has started in the Ukraine as they are in war crisis with Russia, and last summer our mother church in Kiev saw 15,000 come to Christ. We need 50 new churches to meet the demand now. $5,000 can plant a church in Ukraine. Please consider giving to project #41005P to help plant these churches.
ISRAEL
“Living Israel Ministries” has been joined with IPHC in reaching Jews with the good news of Yeshua. Most people they reach are facing addictions to drugs and alcohol and came to Israel from Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus in that condition. Our CoffeeHouse in Tel Aviv is where we meet new people; from there, they can begin rehabilitation in one of 20 locations, which is also home to a house church. Please pray for the peace of Israel as we look forward to a GREAT harvest.
REILLY
Reilly is the last of the grandchildren to graduate high school. She has been studying German for the last 4 years and is looking forward to a trip to Germany this summer, then on to University. Congratulations Reilly.
THANKS AND PRAYER
Update on Carol: Many of you know that Carol was diagnosed with breast cancer in May. Of course we are in the Lord’s hands, so it’s not a big worry… He is in control! Okay, ask for prayer and trust the Lord. In June, the doctor operated and as we went for a follow-up at the Cancer Clinic the GOOD NEWS was… Cancer-free and the only follow-up “recommended” was an Anti-Estrogen pill for a few years. Praise the Lord! We realize how awesome our God is and the family of God that also petitions Him with us. THANK YOU!!!
And thank you also for your support over the last 30 years.
