Dear Partners and Friends,
We are so thankful to God for allowing us to continue serving Him with you in this new year. It was encouraging and spiritually uplifting to see the mighty move of God in our midst in bringing more souls to Jesus in 2020. The ministry continued to prosper despite the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. We strongly believe that no one can distract us or stop God’s wonderful plan for our group. He is our faithful God. The number of churches in IPHC Thailand/Alliance Church Association increased from 81 in December 2019 to 94 in December 2020. However, the number of members decreased from 5,111 to 5,050.
We are glad that the ministry in Thailand has expanded into the Indo-China Region since 2016 through the concerted effort of our dedicated leaders, such as Dr. Wallapa Wisawasukmongchol and Ajarn Sunit Wuttipanya. To date, we have six churches in Vietnam with 1,210 members and 10 churches with 2,090 members in Laos, according to the latest report from National Director Dr. Wallapa Wisawasukmngchol. The work in Myanmar is also progressing. To God be the glory!
Praise God! The 17th IPHC/ACA Annual Conference in Pak Chong, Ratchasima, from November 30 to December 3, 2020, was a success. Despite the unavailability of our invited guest speakers from the USA for this event, due to the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, the conference moved on with speakers from within our local leaders, including myself. There were about 130 pastors and leaders who attended. The theme of the conference was “Serve with Gladness.” We were encouraged and tremendously blessed by the growing numbers of workers in the vineyard: 27 were commissioned to be mission workers, nine received their minister’s licenses, and six were ordained as ministers. God is good!
Blessed be the name of the Lord! The on-going Thailand Theological Seminary Building Project is progressing, and we are so excited to see this project completed by August 2021. Thank God to all of our donors from the USA and here in Thailand: IPHC WMM, Dr. Wallapa’s families, Lorenzo Aguilar, Edgar Banaga, Russell Board, Don Muang Church, Trinity Church, Every Nation Church, Nigerian Church, and all the other local churches make this project possible. Whether great or small, any amount of contribution will always have a great impact in fulfilling the vision of making disciples in this predominantly Buddhist nation. We still need around $62,000 to complete this building project. Anyone who is being led by the Lord to donate will always be highly appreciated. Please send your donation to IPHC-WMM Oklahoma City under Project Account Number 74520.
We had a wonderful and a blessed Christmas celebration with lots of fun on December 20, 2020, at Don Muang Church, Bangkok. Praise the Lord! There were seven Buddhists who received the Lord Jesus. We really enjoyed the worship service in the morning and the Christmas program in the afternoon, which featured great presentations from the Children, Youth, and Adult ministries, as well as ministries from the Filipino church. We experienced great fellowship and good food as well! Many people received a gift and went home rejoicing. There were about 120 people who attended.
We are looking forward to winning more souls for Jesus to effect fruitful ministry expansion in Thailand and in the neighboring countries. Indeed, without Him, we cannot do anything. Our labor in the Lord together is not in vain. We miss you and America also.
Thank you for your continuous prayers and unwavering support.
Your Co-laborers in Christ,
Brother Albert and Sister Jiep Gonzales
