Gonzales Newsletter: November 2021

November 10, 2021 Albert & Jiep Gonzales

Dear Partners and Friends,

Blessed be the wonderful name of the Lord! Finally, after five months of prohibition to physically gather in the church, the number of covid-19 infections and deaths in Thailand started to decline, and the government began to ease the rules and restrictions by the middle of October. We are now allowed to convoke up to 50 people in the church, and we expect even better news in the coming days. On October 31, during our worship service, 22 people came forward to the altar for prayer for various needs in response to the message I delivered, “We Need Daily Bread to Live” at Don Muang Church. Many are suffering because of the negative effect brought by the pandemic.

On October 29, I had the opportunity to officiate a wedding at one of our churches in Bangkok. It was a blissful and blessed matrimony, especially for the newlyweds. Indeed, the ministry in Thailand relentlessly moves on. The discipleship programs through Thailand Theological Seminary (TTS) have started to conduct classes in person. The building projects at TTS in Petchabun, lodging facilities in Don Muang church and Mekong River Bible School in Mae Sai continuously progress. Hallelujah!

The plans for (1) TTS graduation, (2) IPHC building dedication, and (3) the IPHC/ACA Annual Conference in October this year are moved to April next year due to the restrictions which limit the number of people who can gather. We are expecting over 900 people (300 students to graduate and 600 guests) in attendance. We are never disheartened because we know that all things work together for good to them that love God to them who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

We would like to express our sincere thanks to:

(1) Partners and friends for your continuous prayers, kindness, generosity, and unwavering support. These produce fruitful ministries through evangelism, discipleship, and church planting to expand the kingdom of God.

(2) People to People supporters for impacting the children’s quality of life by growing in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His love. Presently, there are 206 children on the Child Sponsorship Program and 350 awaiting sponsorship. They come from various places from the east, west, north, and south, from the city of Bangkok up to the hills of Thailand.

(3) IPHC WMM Covid Relief program for the $2,000.00 donation to Don Muang Church in Bangkok and Light House Church in Mae Sai. It touched and blessed 35 families in Don Muang by distributing relief goods and 1,000.00 Baht ($33.00) cash for each family and the relief goods for 33 families in Mae Sai.

(4) Co-laborers in the vineyard in Thailand for their love and dedication to serving the Lord together with us in unity, love, and peace.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Praise the Lord! God answers prayer. Three pastors under our umbrella were healed from covid-19, including two children of one of the pastors. One of them was Pastor Anil Kumar, who stayed in the hospital for two months and ten days. Yet, when he was discharged from the hospital, he baptized three new believers within only a few weeks.
