What could the 2020+ generation of kids reflect on after the COVID-19 Pandemic? There will be a definite paradigm shift caused by their past months experience. What did the kids in your home experience? Did they see trust in God’s provision and protection? Did they experience Christlikeness in attitudes and behaviors being home? Were they grounded more in loving, giving, serving, truth, and Godliness? A certain reflection is when the gospel is believed in the heart of the child, it will keep the child of God in peace and safe in God’s promises and plan. Definitely the main solution in all situations throughout their walk of life on earth. I thank God for His love for the world (John 3:16),
THANK YOU FOR PARTNERING IN THIS MINISTRY TO GET THE GOSPEL TO KIDS.
What an incredible challenge and test we faced, and may still be facing daily. Will our goal to target Christlikeness and Godliness be met, no matter what we go through?
As an evangelistic teacher, my heart has been burdened to pray for every student who has ever been trained and equipped to share the gospel and counsel for salvation, to rise up, evangelize, and teach so that kids can hear and believe.
I recently taught students in Mauritius who desired to change the lives of children in the Capital City of Port Louis, as well as a slum bordering the city. On arrival in January, the National leader for Mauritius and I planned dates and places during January and February to train in three areas to strengthen leaders and new believers ministering to kids. The strategy in Mauritius is to win the nation to Christ through reaching and evangelizing as many kids as possible. The census shows that less than 35% of the population (1,296,577 million people) is Christian. Of the 35%, 26% represents Roman Catholics. So less then 20% has faith in just Christ alone as savior. Then, children under 14 years make up 20% of the population, a field ready to be reached! Pray for Mauritius as the workers increase to reach the kids!
Rev. Leopold and his wife, Joyce, are serving as leaders in Mauritius. His vision for Mauritius is to reach the entire Island with the gospel. The greatest need in Mauritius is to help the people obtain Bibles and become students of the word. Thank you for the funds sent to the account BIBLES FOR SOUTHERN AFRICA # 11643P. These funds made it possible to provide 50 Bibles to Mauritius to help the church maintain Bible resources at hand for students and members.
Leadership training has been conducted by missionaries Ben and Marianne Jansen, who have made a great impact developing the ministry team in Mauritius. Keep this leadership development program in prayer as these leaders will become the church planters that will minister to incoming congregations in newly reached areas.
In March, I attended training to be updated as an instructor of teachers in new training materials with CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP at the CHILDREN’S MINISTRY INSTITUTE in South Africa. Students came from all over Southern Africa; Mozambique was the only country without representation. These instructors are all back in their nations and working as fulltime ministry workers to duplicate themselves. When I travel into these nations, help from these instructors is now available to teach courses. Thank God with me for the strengthening of TEAM TEACHERS to train workers for the churches to build their Children’s Ministries and outreaches. All gifts to the project CHILD EVANGELISM AFRICA #10004 will help me support students as they become National Children’s Ministry Leaders in the 16 Southern Africa countries.
Back in Malawi, at the end of March, we had time to clear out documents and paperwork stored since the year 2000, due to the COVID-19 Stay Home mandate. At end of April, accounting was caught up and planning began to use ZOOM to teach parents how to lead their children to Christ and counsel them.
We are now seeking the Lord on planning for post COVID-19. What will that be like? All I know right now is to focus on exalting our God and to meditate on who He is. God describes Himself as a God of compassion, kindness, forgiveness, truth, holiness, and justice (Ex. 34:6-7). Then every moment, even over coffee and walking with a mask, I am praying for the unreached!
Pray that the Lord of the HARVEST will send His workers!
