Pérez Perspectives

Growth & Blessings
As you might know, México is populated with a very high percentage of youth. I don’t know if I am getting “younger” or the (permissible) youth jargon has an influence on what just spontaneously came out of my mouth: “Thank you, Lord; You always show up on time!” Well, theologically this is incorrect because He doesn’t have to “show up”… He is already there!
But this exclamation was from a grateful heart the moment I received the August Field Statement and observed that the amount for Emmanuel Bible School was $550! (More than last month!) God bless generous givers who are interested in preparing young men and women to take their place in ministry and of course may the Lord bless all of you intercessors who pray for this school.
Emmanuel is not “one school” anymore. Three years ago we began theological studies through Extension Classes (Saturday) in seven churches in the states of Nuevo León, Veracruz, Tamaulipus, Coahuila, Guanajuato y Oaxaca. Even though each group has its own Director, it takes lots of coordination to keep up with these centers but it is such a joy to be present in the graduation ceremonies and observe the talented and visionary people who have finished their studies.

A question… would you like to be part of Emmanuel´s ministry in the East Mexico Pentecostal Holiness Church? It is easy! Some people give online and others mail their donations to WORLD MISSIONS MINISTRIES: P.O. Box 12609 Oklahoma City, OK 73157. It is necessary to give the SUPPORT ACCOUNT which is #54004P and specify EMMANUEL BIBLE SCHOOL MONTERREY, MX.
Praises
A praise report: many of you remember that in July of 2010, I had a battle with breast cancer. Then in April of this year in a routine 6-month check-up, a large tumor was discovered underneath my right arm. Same cancerous cells. After an operation and 25 radiation sessions, my oncologist ordered a PET scan to make sure that there weren’t any more “surprizes”! The results were: no cancerous cells. To God be the glory!
Prayers
In closing, your prayers, please, for Bro. Moisés Sandoval, former Superintendent of this Conference. On August 12th, he had a stroke which greatly affected his left side. However he is totally on top concerning his coordination of thoughts and words. In fact, yesterday he asked: “In which Module will I be teaching at Emmanuel in the Monterrey campus?” This faithful servant and pastor is putting his faith into action!
Sending to you and yours much love and appreciation for choosing to serve the Lord through your prayers and offerings in one of His vineyards: Mexico. Your labor and giving are not in vain!
