Best regard,
On the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Cuba, we will be celebrating this new birthday from July 25, 2022, for a whole year. God has been gradually filling our pages with new stories and anecdotes; 70 years remain in our memory since July 25, 1952. Many things have happened, and between uncertainties and certainties, many have left their mark.
As a church of Christ, our reason for being and our commitment to our country and the world is to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to every person; showing them a gospel of love, peace, and service, while inviting them to have hope of salvation in Jesus Christ. We are also called to discern the times and raise our prophetic voice to humanity’s warning of future events.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to each person who has contributed in various ways to the advancement, formation, and preparation, in all senses; spiritual, affective, and material through all these years to our Pentecostal Holiness Church.
We do not mention your names, but we are grateful for having the joy of sharing with people like you, since through thick and thin you have given us all your support. We love you. The fact that you have received this letter means that you are in our hearts, and you are a part of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Cuba.
During these 70 years, the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Cuba has traveled the path that God has indicated, exploring strategies that have contributed to growth; with new and different strategies in ministry.
We want to continue multiplying and growing in each area to have new achievements in our country and other nations.
The church is facing a new era. The Lord is opening an opportunity for the mission of His church in these times. Therefore, we must try not to miss the opportunity that He is giving us. We must contextualize our message in the new reality we live in, taking advantage of this period of uncertainty, fear, and insecurities. Taking the pulse and condition of the church, to clarify the most effective strategies to follow in a new context, where we can effectively meet God's mission to make disciples of all nations is essential in this time.
There has been a change in everything that has to do with the Lord's Church; the services, the expression of the church, the service, the leadership, the ministry that has to do with relationships, and the universal priesthood of believers. We need to prepare the church in the fear of God for the future and imminent coming of Christ. We must rethink and remember what the ministry of the church is and focus on the priority mission of the church by revising the focus. Analyzing the new scenario we live in to see how much we should dedicate to the mission abroad must be a priority.
We have as a motto “Renewing ourselves for the Conquest”, based on the text of Romans 12:2.
We want to project ourselves and move for the coming years in the vision of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC), contextualizing it to our reality in Cuba, believing that here we can reach our country and the world for Jesus Christ, and thus contribute to the purpose of the 150 nations and 5,000 congregations outside of the United States. This will enable us to continue taking part of the achievements in the IPHC.
