Breaking Barriers, HGM’s national pastors and leader’s conference, was held on May 1-3 at Beech Springs Church in Pelzer, SC. Over 200 pastors and leaders registered and attended. Pastors Eric and Gena Boggs and their team did an amazing job hosting the event. From the first song on the opening night to the last prayer time concluding the event, Breaking Barriers was marked by the presence of God. Josh Hannah spoke during the opening night about having heart, audacity, resilience, and avoiding pitfalls. He called us to intentionally lean into God’s heart.
Tuesday, Phil Cooke gave us tools and insight about how to effectively communicate in our culture, and Lee Grady helped us learn how to discover and disciple next-generation leaders. We heard from several pastors who intentionally plant churches out of their churches. The breakout sessions were empowering and answered questions being asked by leaders today.
On Wednesday, we heard from David Docusen about capturing God’s heart for our communities and how to engage our communities in transforming ways. Dan Reiland, helped us lift the leadership lids off from our lives and our teams. The prayer and ministry times, along with intentional relationship building, added depth to the conference, being felt by everyone in the audience. Feedback received from many attendants is that Breaking Barriers 2023 was the best pastors and leader’s conference that many have experienced.
HGM is honored to be able to invest in the lives of front-line leaders.
