THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY
For quite some years, the International Pentecostal Holiness Church has been in partnership with Dynamic Church Planting International. This joint venture, on the road to church planting, is opening up incredible opportunities for the IPHC worldwide. As we have all known already for a long time, church planting is the most effective way of evangelism anywhere in the world.
The vision of DCPI is to equip leaders to start 5 million dynamic churches to reach the world for Christ. Church planting on an international scale has always been the vision of our own denomination as well. We realize that now, more than ever, we need to speed up the process of starting new churches in order to reach all peoples. As of today, there are still about 7,000 unreached people groups in the entire world.
As time is ticking away, hastening to the coming of the Lord, we personally have been able to link arms with DCPI as Senior Master Trainers. We are very encouraged by their relentless effort of evangelism through church planting. Since the Fall of 2013, more than 1,200 students have been trained by us in the essential rudiments of church planting. Of these new church planters, 348 have been certified as Trainers. We also installed four Master Trainers in the areas we minister in, namely Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa. Because of these trainings, 43 new churches have been planted, and more are opening on a regular basis.
DCPI, as a training movement, can be very valuable in opening new countries where IPHC has no presence. As we train promising leaders in the essentials of church planting, we can mentor them in their effort of starting new churches, and introduce them to our IPHC fellowship. The partnership of DCPI with the International Pentecostal Holiness church has proven to be more valuable than we expected. The key is to steadily continue to teach the church planting material, to not give up, and to follow the vision of planting myriads of new churches all over the world.
We can vividly remember our first endeavor in teaching DCPI training tracks. There were more than 60 pastors and leaders in attendance in the capital of Botswana in October 2013. We were a little shaky, but all went well, and now we are confident that the material will produce the results we expect, praying all along that the DCPI goal of 5 million churches will materialize in our lifetime!
