On Sunday, February 5th, a new IPHC church launched in Los Angeles, California. The new church is led by Johannes Tarigan and Yusak Ferry, two prolific church planters from Indonesia who have moved to the US to plant churches that reach Indonesian and Southeast Asian people groups in the US. There were 45 people present at the first service of this brand-new church, which is being hosted by Agape World Mission Church, led by Bishop Timothy Yoo.
The partnership between Pastors Johannes and Yusak and Bishop Yoo is already bearing fruit in a short period of time.“The energy, joy, and life present in the launch service of the Indonesian church was inspiring. Also, God’s presence was strong and many were inspired as Pastor Johannes shared the vision and asked people to partner with the vision of not just planting one church, but creating a movement among the Asian people,” said Trey Jones, HGM Director. The dream of reaching a diversity of people groups across the US is becoming a reality, and EVUSA is honored to be a part of this new pioneering movement.
