January is often a concentrated time for prayer in many churches and denominations. Christians around the world have a growing sense of the need for prayer. We are praying for revival in our churches and a spiritual awakening in the lives of people around the world. It appears that God is moving us all to a place of desperation for Him.
The Global Ministry Center of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church suspended our normal work activities on January 13, 2016 to spend the day in prayer. This is an annual occurrence and often is a special day as we see and understand the many ministry activities that take place through our offices.
The formula for the day of pray this year was to share a number of videos from various people. The instruction for the video was very simple. 1. Be short. 2. Be short! 3. Share what God is doing through you and prayer concerns about which we could pray. We viewed sixteen videos during the day. After each video we took time to pray for the person and for others that they might represent.
Presiding Bishop Doug Beacham was in Hong Kong on the day of prayer and Bishop Tal Gardner was in India. They greeted us through a video. Bishop Chris Thompson and Bishop Tommy McGee were present and they spoke to the group and then we prayed for their requests. Bishop Joel Dibetsoe greeted us from South Africa. Bishop Mike Gray from Alabama spoke on the behalf of his conference and represented our conference bishops. Pastors from several states and missionaries from around the world also were included in the videos and prayer time.
All of the videos can be viewed at the following site. You might want to see these wonderful people and know how you can pray for their requests.

A main theme by each presenter was a desire to be instrumental in sharing the gospel with people and seeing people come to faith in Christ. Do you sense that God is moving His people to become His agents of light? We spent much of the day praying that God would use the IPHC across the world to have open doors to witness and share the good news of God’s love for us through the grace of Jesus. Continue to join with us as pray for our movement to do our part in the Kingdom of God.
