The annual training and business conference of the Korean (American) Conference was held May 17-19, 2016, at the World Agape Mission Church in downtown Los Angeles. The pastor is John Kim. He is also the conference bishop and has been so for thirty-five years.
Nearly seventy official delegates gathered from the United States, Mexico, South Africa, and Israel. During the service on Wednesday night over 200 people were present.
I enjoy so much attending this annual conference. The hospitality was superb. Timothy Yoo was my assigned host. Michael Choo was my driver. These two brothers were such a blessing. I have known Timothy for a number of years. He is the English pastor at World Agape and special assistant to Bishop Kim.
I arrived on late Tuesday and enjoyed a nice dinner with my hospitality team. On Wednesday morning, I taught three sessions and led in a ministry time. My first session was the 2016 Holiness theme and video. The material was well received. I then conducted two training sessions entitled – “Communicating His Vision” and “4 Miracles Needed by the IPHC.” I must say I was encouraged and blessed by the reception of the material. The ministry time was anointed.
On Wednesday night, I preached. After preaching, I think I prayed for everyone present. I know I was exhausted when I returned to the hotel. It was truly a spirit anointed time. I would sleep three hours and then head for the airport to return home early Thursday.
Pastor Timothy Yoo was my translator. He is excellent! It is always a joy to minister with him. He is an excellent instructor as to culture, etc. Michael, my driver and armor bearer, is a delightful young man and pastors a small church. He served in the Marine Corp and looks the part. He walked me to my room and made sure all was well. He has passed his exams for ordination and will be ordained next year.
No one was ordained this year. Three candidates passed, but under a new system adopted this year, they must wait and “be observed.”
The Korean (American) Conference has churches around the world. I must declare that I feel that they are just before moving forward with great expansion and blessing.
Bishop John Kim has done well as the bishop. As I was leaving for home, he was leaving for a month of preaching in Korea.
May the Lord bless the Korean Conference.
