By Bishop Garry Bryant
The West Coast Hispanic Conference held their Quadrennial Conference August 11, 2018, in San Fernando, California. It was a joy to serve as the presiding officer and to participate in their full day of ministry, fellowship, and conference business.
Bishop Adam Villarreal, the conference council, and ministry team provided a quality time of activities and ministry opportunities for the conference constituency. There were 237 in attendance with specific training and ministry available for women, men, youth, and children. Sixty-three registered delegates carried out the Quadrennial Conference responsibilities.
Bishop Villarreal shared statistical, financial and ministry updates in his State of the Conference report. He also expressed appreciation to the conference council, the West Coast Hispanic family, Zion Worship Center (the church he pastors), and to his wife Elvia. It is apparent that the previous four years has been a time of ordering and preparing for the new quadrennium.
The newly-elected Executive Council is as follows:
- Superintendent Bishop Adam Villarreal
- Assistant Superintendent Carlos Martinez
- Secretary\Treasurer Freyman Valdez
- Council Members Jorge Salazar
- Pablo Jarquin
I am confident that Bishop Villareal and the new leadership team are entering into a season of increased effectiveness and growth.
