He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly, to love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God? – Micah 6:8
The International Pentecostal Holiness Church will focus on its 6th core value, We Prayerfully Value Justice, in 2019. General Superintendent Doug Beacham feels this is a timely emphasis for the church, “In a time of national and international crisis, I believe the Holy Spirit has led the IPHC to hear what the Word of God says about justice. I am praying that this year will be transformative in our understanding of the Word and how we live as ambassadors of reconciliation.”
Using Micah 6:8 as the theme verse, the church will implement a quarterly emphasis to explore the truths of God’s Word regarding justice:
- A Voice in the Darkness – Is God Just?
- A Voice in the Wilderness – Justice in the Old Testament
- A Voice to the Church – Justice in the New Testament
- A Voice for Today – Our Responsibility
As a part of this focus, various resources including videos, web articles, devotions, podcasts, and books will be available on the website throughout the year. We look forward to 2019 as We Prayerfully Value Justice together!
