There are some mornings that it seems like there is nothing you can do; it’s just going to be a bummer day. No matter how physically impossible it may seem, there really is a wrong side of the bed that you can wake up on! But I have noticed that when I wake up and choose to begin my day with my Heavenly Father, then the rest of the day tends to go better than when I wake up frazzled and stressing about everything I have to get done. By placing yourself in the right frame of mind, by pausing before the rush of the day to pray with the Creator and to listen for the Holy Spirit, you’re forcing your mind off of whatever may be happening that day, and focusing on what the Lord has for you. It’s amazing what this small change can affect through the rest of the day! I encourage you to take time during your morning routine to focus on what the Spirit is saying to you for that day. Since I’m a multitasking fiend, I love using my morning drive as a time to pray and prepare for the day (with my eyes open, of course). A playlist is the perfect way to put yourself in the right frame of mind as you pray for wisdom and direction. Try this playlist below and see how your attitude changes when you start on the right side of the bed.
