The IPHC Ignite was a fire-catching time that allowed women to come together and become ignited into what God has put in their hearts. He did this and more! We heard from the passionate and Word-filled, Maria Durso, author of the book, From Your Head to Your Heart. She shared how to activate the 18-inch drop from what we knew in our heads to what we knew in our hearts. This word has the potential to revolutionize lives. She explained that each one has an all access pass, and that we have the ability to simply be going through life not even realizing the access that God has made available to us. Is this true? Are we living far below what He has in His mind and heart for us? Let’s rise up and be who He intended for us to be!
We were also touched to hear Maryam and Marziyeh, authors of the book, Captive in Iran. Their stories sent chills down my spine and tears to my eyes. Because of their testimonies of seeking and finding the One True God, we were fully encouraged to see the power of seeking. They told us of what they did to tell people about the love of Jesus Christ and what they suffered as a result of doing so. Their story of captivity in Iran’s, Evin Prison, and now freedom, demonstrates the grace of God in full operation throughout all seasons of our lives. Captive and free.
My heart behind Ignite and really most all that I do, was to see each of us become ignited to do what is in our hearts, put there by the ultimate life designer – God Almighty. He has plans and purposes for our lives. We are asked to lay down our lives, not our purpose. This is the sacrifice that He requires. When we do this, we thrive and truly live in freedom. We are free indeed, not shackled by how the world describes us, but free to be how God designed us – unique and original, revealing His glory. It is time for the dry bones in our lives to come alive. It is time to take down the things that we have put on the shelves of our hearts, and to put them into action. As He told Ezekiel, speak to the bones, and “I[God] will make breath enter you, and you will come to life” (Ezekiel 37:5b NIV). Speak to those things that you have placed on the shelves of your hearts, and watch God’s breath bring them to life, Ignited for all of the world to see His glory arising in His people. They are waiting for it! (Romans 8:19NIV)
