Falcon Children’s Home & Family Services (FCHFS) recently completed the process of receiving accreditation through the Council on Accreditation (COA). Founded in 1977, COA is an international, independent, not-for-profit, child and family service, and behavioral healthcare accrediting organization. COA envisions excellence in the delivery of human services globally, resulting in the well-being of individuals, families, and communities.
“The primary objective of Falcon Children’s Home & Family Services is to provide a home that establishes the very best for our children,” said FCHFS CEO Joseph T. Leggett. “The COA accreditation validates that we are not only meeting that objective but we are also following best practice policies in doing so.”
COA accreditation is an objective and reliable verification that organizations qualify for the confidence and support of their stakeholders. The accreditation process involves a detailed review and analysis of an organization’s administrative functions and service delivery practices measured against international standards of best practice. “Our team is committed to having a positive impact in the lives of the children we serve,” said Mr. Joey Leggett, CEO of Falcon Children’s Home. “It is satisfying to have a professional and widely respected organization such as COA recognize the difference we are making.”
Falcon Children’s Home & Family Services has been caring for abandoned, abused, neglected, and orphaned children in North Carolina since the first two children (siblings) were taken into care on March 9, 1909.
