A Day of Discipleship: “Here for You” at General Conference
At the upcoming General Conference, Discipleship Ministries will host a special gathering designed to encourage, strengthen, and equip leaders across the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. On Sunday, July 13, leaders from across our denomination are invited to take part in “Here for You: A Day of Discipleship & Encouragement.”
This gathering is more than another session on the schedule. It is a declaration to every pastor, ministry leader, and faithful servant across the IPHC: we are here for you.
For pastors carrying unseen weight.
For local church leaders faithfully serving week after week.
For conference leaders stewarding vision across their regions.
For small churches doing big Kingdom work.
For large churches navigating growth and complexity.
Wherever you serve, you are part of the mission of making disciples, and this day is designed to strengthen and encourage you in that calling.
Returning to the Heart of the Commission
In a time when ministry can often feel crowded with programs yet hungry for depth, the Church is being drawn back to the simple and powerful commission Jesus gave us: make disciples.
Before discipleship becomes a strategy, it is something we embody. Before it becomes a structure, it is a way of life.
Throughout this afternoon session, leaders will explore how discipleship can become the heartbeat of the local church. Healthy ministry is built on faithful rhythms and practices that shape believers into lifelong followers of Christ. Lives anchored in Scripture. Hearts formed in prayer. Worship that centers our lives on God. A posture of surrender. Generosity. Community. And bold witness.
These pillars of discipleship are not trends. They are foundations.
Learning from Leaders Across Our Ministries
The afternoon will include teaching, testimony, and conversations with leaders across Discipleship Ministries. After a message from Bishop Tommy McGhee, participants will hear from ministry leaders representing Kids, Students, and Adult Ministries, each sharing how discipleship is being cultivated in their unique ministry contexts.
Through short videos and guided panel discussions, leaders will speak to real challenges and opportunities facing the Church today, offering practical insight and encouragement for those serving in the local church.
The session will also highlight multigenerational and holistic discipleship, including how Discipleship Ministries is investing in churches through initiatives and grants designed to strengthen discipleship across every stage of life.
Strengthening What Matters Most
This gathering is not about adding more to your ministry plate. It is about strengthening the center.
When disciples are formed, the Church grows stronger. Families are transformed. Communities are reached with the Gospel.
And in a moment when many leaders feel the weight of ministry more than ever, this day serves as a reminder of an important truth: you are not alone in this work.
You are not behind.
You are not forgotten.
We are here for you.
Join us on Sunday afternoon, July 14, for this special Day of Discipleship & Encouragement at General Conference as we seek God together and renew our commitment to the mission of making disciples.
