SCRIPTURE
Mark 8:34
And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.
INTERPRETATION
“Coming” to JESUS is easy (whosoever will) but “following” HIM (in his footsteps) is harder. This requires us to deny ourselves. We must be willing to relinquish our right to be who we are and submit to becoming who HE has ordained us to be.
If we are filled with the “HOLY GHOST”, the manifestation/power of GOD we are seeking (more of GOD) has little to do with how much of GOD we possess. It has more to do with how much of us we are willing to deny/crucify/kill in ourselves that is not in alignment with who he has called us to be and what he has called us to do.
OTHER SCRIPTURES
1st Corinthians 15:31
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
Romans 12:3
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.
PRAYER POINTS
LORD, help us to die to the things in our life that hinder your life from being fully “ manifested in” and “imparted through” us.
