Georgia pastor Trey Jones has been named the interim ARISE 2033 Multiplication Ministries Coordinator for the IPHC’s Evangelism USA. Jones will assist in the recruitment and development of new IPHC church planters. According to EVUSA Executive Director Garry Bryant, Jones adds significant depth to the IPHC’s church planting team.
“We’re excited to have the level of quality leadership, experience, and passion for this role that Pastor Trey provides,” said EVUSA Executive Director Garry Bryant.
Josh Hannah , director of the IPHC’s Healthy, Growing, Multiplying (HGM) Churches, agrees. Hannah believes Jones will help the IPHC increase its base of prepared church planters.
“Up to this point, I have identified 39 IPHC Church Planters who have or are eager to plant in 2021. I believe that by bringing Trey Jones onto the HGM team as the Interim Multiplication Ministries Coordinator, the number of church planters for 2022 will increase exponentially.”
Jones brings more than 20 years of experience as a church planter and pastor to the EVUSA team. He and his wife, Hope, moved to Macon, Georgia, in 1999 to plant what was originally called South Bibb Community Church (later Life Center). As God’s plan for their community became clearer, the Joneses adopted the vision “Where Life Becomes More.” That process culminated in 2019 with a final name change: from Life Center to Life Church.
In recent years, Jones has served LifePoint Ministries (GA) as Director of Church Multiplication Ministries. As a member of EVUSA’s ARISE 2033 Church Planting Task Force, he was involved in the strategy development for a major church planting initiative, PlantAChurch.us.
“I am so excited and honored to be working with Bishop Bryant, Josh Hannah, and the entire EVUSA team in advancing ARISE 2033,” Jones said. “I’m also so privileged to be working with an amazing church planting task force made up of successful and seasoned church planters from across the IPHC who have built a proven system for church planting and multiplication. I look forward to meeting with all of you in person, building deeper relationships, and working together to see the IPHC fulfill its Kingdom assignment of multiplication through ARISE 2033.”
