IPHC Global Day of Fasting and Prayer

December 19, 2014

The International Pentecostal Holiness Church begins each year with a day set aside for united prayer and fasting for God’s continued direction, anointing and blessing over the IPHC. The second Wednesday of January, January 14th, 2015, has been set aside to honor God with worship, prayer, supplication and expectant hearts. At the Global Ministry Center we suspend our work routine to gather together for prayer over every aspect of the ministries of the IPHC. Bishop Doug Beacham has asked that each conference and church observe a day of prayer, whether on January 14th or another day, to seek the guidance of the Lord for the coming year of ministry.

For 2015, Bishop Beacham has asked that we emphasize the Core Value of Pentecost. Russell Board, writing on the Core Value of Pentecost in the 7 Core Values of the IPHC notes that “Pentecost is not only about worship and witness. The Holy Spirit is given to lead us in our daily lives, and to cultivate the character of Christ within us.” As you plan your day of prayer emphasize the work of the Holy Spirit in our ministries and lives as we honor the significance of Pentecost to the IPHC.

We anticipate a triumphant day of worship and prayer throughout the IPHC!

Ephesians 5:18-20 “… be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
