Israel. This small country resonates with the names of Abraham, David, Solomon, Jesus, Paul and the Apostles. We hear the echoes from Jerusalem, Mount Carmel, the Sea of Galilee, Ashdod, and Bethlehem. From the 1911 journey of Bishop Joseph H. King to Jerusalem to the present, IPHC members have made the pilgrimage to this special land.
Since the establishment of a coffeehouse near the Jaffa Gate in 1985, the IPHC has been involved in various forms of ministry in the land. In recent years, the Holy Spirit has opened additional doors of relationships with Russian speaking Jewish believers who have settled in various parts of Israel. Further relationships, formed with Palestinian believers in the West Bank, have led to IPHC congregations near Bethlehem.
Presiding Bishop Beacham, in conjunction with IPHC World Missions Ministries, is hosting a ministry/tour trip to Israel in April 2016. The trip commences from New York to Tel-Aviv on Sunday night, April 10 and concludes with a return trip Tel-Aviv to New York on Tuesday night, April 19.
The purpose of this trip is to build closer relationships with our Russian speaking Jewish believers across Israel and to encourage our Palestinian IPHC family. While we will primarily focus on the ministry dimension, our proximity to certain areas will allow us the opportunity to tour certain parts of the country.
Presiding Bishop Beacham remarked, “This is a tremendous opportunity for IPHC pastors and congregations to help our Jewish followers of Yeshua (Jesus) in Israel and the Palestinian family in the Territories. I personally know the people we will be meeting with and I hope you will join me.”
The cost of the trip is $3,230 per person and includes airfare from New York to Tel-Aviv (and return). We will be staying in Western-style 4 & 5-star hotels with excellent food.
The trip is limited to a maximum of 30 people. If there are IPHC pastors and lay leaders interested in being part of this historic outreach, please contact Rev. Terry Fowler or Mr. Wesley Samuel. Due to the limited number of seats, you are encouraged to make a deposit of $350.00 by November 15, 2015. The remainder of funds will be due by February 1, 2016. Brochures are available from Rev. Fowler or Mr. Samuel.
