By Bishop Tommy McGhee
What an honor to be asked to serve as the presiding officer for the Korean American Conference! It was my first time to have the privilege of visiting with Bishop John Kim and other leaders as we gathered in Los Angeles, California on May 24, 2017.
Wednesday morning began with a time of worship, after which I was blessed to minister in the first session. At the close of the time of teaching, we enjoyed an extended time of prayer, where many came forward for a time of laying on of hands.
At 7:00 pm, the Wednesday evening service was held in the beautiful World Agape Mission Church sanctuary. The time of worship was certainly an inspiration! Bishop John Kim led a time of powerful exhortation to the many who were in attendance.
It was then my honor to bring an ordination message followed by the laying on of hands to officially ordain two ministers. Two others also received Minister’s License.
Credentials were issued as follows:
Ordination:
- Michael Cho
- Jihun Lim
Ministers License:
- Adolfo Sanchez Zubia
- Jose Efrain Guevara
I was so blessed to be with Bishop Kim and the wonderful people of this conference. I also want to express my appreciation to Pastor Timothy Yoo who worked to assist me during my time in California. I look forward to deepening our relationship in the coming years.
