I was blessed to serve as the presiding officer for the Mississippi Conference for their Annual Conference session. It was a privilege to bring the message Friday evening to a responsive congregation. I enjoyed working with Bishop David Moore, his wife Jane, and their leadership team. Pastor Darrell Blankenship and the Springs of Praise Church served as our host for the day. There was a strong representation of young people who attended and participated as well as served the delegates during our lunch.
The highlight of the day was the report of Bishop Moore. He shared a report on a recent mission trip to Guatemala. He also reported on the Conference’s participation in “Arise 2033” and their continued plans for training and equipping pastors and local church leaders for a thrust into the “Harvest.” He gave a detailed report on their commitment to “Unite Mississippi.” A special “Unity and Prayer” service will be held April 26 at Veterans Memorial Stadium followed by a large outreach event the following day. Bishop Moore always shares his heart of passion for reaching the lost and planting new churches.
Pastor Darrell Blankenship presented the Examining Committee Report. Rev. Jimmy Bryant was granted Ministers License. Our prayers go out to the wonderful people in Mississippi for God’s anointing and direction as they move forward.
