Rev. Tony Miller, beloved pastor of The Gate Church in Oklahoma City and friend and mentor to many in the IPHC, passed away suddenly last week. The IPHC joins with family and friends of Rev. Miller in celebrating his legacy of leadership in the body of Christ.
Presiding Bishop Doug Beacham said of Rev. Miller: “Over 20 years ago, I first heard Rev. Donald Duncan and Rev. Clifton Smith tell me that I needed to meet and hear a minister in Florida named Tony Miller. I first heard and met him at an IPHC National Pastor’s Conference in Greensboro, NC. I immediately realized this man was an anointed communicator, a deeply committed follower of Jesus, and was as genuine in person as he was on the platform. Over the years, many of us have been challenged and changed through his leadership teachings and preaching of the Word of God. The IPHC family, and Susan and me personally, are grieving over his sudden passing. Yet we know Tony is with the Lord whom he so faithfully served. Our prayers are with his wife Kathy, his daughters and their families, other members of his extended family, and The Gate Church family in Oklahoma City.”
The Gate Church has announced the following arrangements:
“We will celebrate the life of Bishop Tony Miller on Tuesday, January 26, at 5:00 p.m. at The Gate Church and online. Visitation will also be held at the church on Monday, January 25, from 4:00-7:00 p.m and will be under the direction of Baggerly Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034.”
