“I have designed you to soar like the eagles, but not by the currents of the air but by the Power of my Spirit.” -God
When we hear the word soar, we think, “Yes! That sounds great!” But do we do it? Do we take the next step to fly? Many times it involves a jump so we say, “Tomorrow I will be ready. Or more prepared. Or financially in a better place. Or after the kids leave the house. Or when I retire.” However, we are not guaranteed tomorrow and tomorrow is another way of saying not today which can continue until it is too late. What about now? Are we leaping in faith?
We can change our life by daily activating our faith muscle. Daily activating faith pleases God. Exercising our faith muscle in the small things prepares us to be strong for the big moments when we will need it. We have already set it in motion and are ready to go! We know exactly where our help comes from. So when we leap there is that much needed faith! Although we are lacking, He is not! Now that takes the fear out of it. There is peace even in the leap… “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7
Fear as well as anything can be an obstacle. We know that obstacles are accentuated when we take our eyes off the goal or The Goal. Those little, or perceived big, things and the very real, big challenges impede our ability to do what we could be doing…or are they the very thing that propels us into what we are to do? It’s all in the interpretation and use. We know God uses all things for our good…so obstacles are a great cross-training ground to soar in many different aspects of our lives.
What are we waiting for? Let’s Jump!
“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior”
