At the request of the DRUSA Committee, Presiding Bishop Doug Beacham has issued an official declaration for Hurricane Relief. The east coast storm has caused major flooding issues that have impacted many geographical areas. This declaration now authorizes DRUSA to request funding from across the church. We are in the early stages of assessment but are already receiving calls, emails and text messages reporting flood damage. We know of at least 6 churches with flooded sanctuaries and many other properties impacted. Presently, a location is being determined in South Carolina for deployment of the Mobile Feeding Kitchen.
