Please Join us for Emmanuel College’s 97th Annual Homecoming Weekend, October 7th-9th!
Alumni from all across the United States will make their way to Franklin Springs, Ga. this weekend to celebrate Emmanuel College and the work the Lord continues to do on campus, at the 97th Annual Homecoming Weekend.
The weekend will kick off with 69th Annual on Friday, October 7th at 10 a.m. at the John W. Swails Center, where we will be joined by current Emmanuel College students, faculty, staff, and guests. At this event, the Women’s Ministries of the IPHC will present Emmanuel with additional gifts to support IPHC student scholarships. The EC Singers, Players, and the Revive Dance Team will all perform at this event.
That evening at 7p.m. at the Swails Center, Emmanuel will host an Alumni and Friends Reception, which will be a great opportunity for you to mingle with former classmates and meet President and Mrs. White, faculty and staff members.
On Saturday, October 8th the Emmanuel College Cross Country & Track and Field teams will host the 8th Annual Springs Sprint 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. The race will begin at 9 a.m. and will cost $15 to register.
Later that morning, the newest program at Emmanuel, the Diversified Agriculture program will be dedicated. Please join us at Stephens Athletic Field at 10 a.m. for a ground breaking.
At 11:30a.m. at the Swails Center, Emmanuel will host the Annual Alumni & Friends Luncheon (Awards Banquet). Awards such as Distinguished Alumnus of the Year, Presidents Award, and the Presidential Medallion Awards will be presented. Additionally, reunions will be held for class years including, 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011.
At 2p.m. at the Wellons Science Center, we will dedicate the new Physical Science Laboratory to the career and service of Dr. Frank Mann.
There will also be two athletic events for Alumni to enjoy including Women’s Soccer (2p.m. at Stephens Field) and Men’s Soccer (4p.m. at Stephens Field).
At 3:15p.m. please join us at the Shaw Athletic Center as the newest members of the Emmanuel College Athletic Hall of Fame are inducted.
Lastly, join us at 5p.m. for a Cookout on the Quad. Take time to relax and enjoy live music and dinner with fellow alumni and friends.
On Sunday morning, the weekend will conclude with a service at Franklin Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church at 10:30a.m. Rev. Clyde Doyle, former EC basketball player will be speaking.
