Two thousand years after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ...where will you be? What will the world look like? What will the church look like?
In 2017, the International Pentecostal Holiness Church adopted the goals of Arise 2033 to help reach the world for Jesus Christ before the 2000th anniversary of His death. In the United States, we want to see churches planted in 75% of the counties, house churches in major cities, and 200 churches established among immigrant populations. We are also believing God for 5,000 new congregations outside the United States and ministry in 150 new nations.
It takes all of us working together to accomplish this vision. Matthew 5 states, “You are the light of the world...Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Whether we share Christ’s love in our school or workplace, serve on a church planting team, or minister overseas, there is a place for everyone! God has created each of us with unique talents and abilities to use for His kingdom. However, we must be willing to allow the Holy Spirit to work through us.
In the Great Commission, Christ charged His disciples with a mission, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20).
He promised to be with us. He promised never to leave us. He promised the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to be witnesses in our sphere of influence. We are a People of Promise, and God is calling us to be a Place of Hope in our communities.
The need is great. Jesus is calling His church to ARISE, to be the salt of the earth, to be the light in the midst of darkness, and to carry the gospel to the ends of the earth!
